fgmHi.
See http://drupal.org/node/41641/release for all releases, including 5.x. Note that 5.x today is NOT supported, and DOES contain bugs and limitations, which is why it is not on the list of generally recommended releases. A production-level version is poised to be released near the end of June, but it is still under testing before release.
This being said, you can try the 5.x-dev version from the page mentioned above, but be aware of the risks : don't try it on a production site.

netentropy commentedHey thanks for the link. I know this is unsupported and my questions are intended for whats to come. I customized the Joomla Glossary module on two of my sites and people loved the changes. So I will ask here?
1) In the new version will it be possible front the G2 main page view to list all of the glossary nodes with pagination?
2) For each term, will there be an option to display the definition beside it as well as link to the node containing the definition?
Will it be able to search the site and link up like the Glossary module?

fgmThanks for your message. The versions that will be released soon are an exact match of the current ones feature-wise : they are only quality/security releases to bring theses branches to production level, so there are no new features being added.

netentropy commentedWow thanks for such a quick reply.
2. I am aware of Glossary and I think it is great. The only reason I can't use it is a) I will have 500+ definitions and if I remember correctly Glossary displays all the terms on one page with anchors down the page. b) Everything else in Drupal is node based and as many chemistry teachers are working on this together, well, drupal is hard enough to explain anyway, I can't imagine now trying to tell them why they have to use term descriptions instead of nodes.
1) I would love to know how to write a function for the module main page. but to be honest, i have read two drupal development books and asked a ton of questions on the forums and I can't figure out two things:

fgmIf you haven't created a site-specific module of your own, let's keep it simple for a start, then :-)
<?php ... ?>delimiters, insert your own logic, typically around two Drupal functions: pager_query to obtain the data, and theme_item_list to display themTo query the list of G2 nodes, just use something like "SELECT FROM {node} n WHERE n.type = '%s'" and use G2::NODE_TYPE as the name of the G2 node type in your query.
Regarding your second question, drupal resolves this through the
