Group Node

This documentation page details the steps required to get started with Group Node, a sub-module of the Group module.

This sub-module contains Group's implementation of the Node module hooks and forms.

This submodule is needed for most use cases of Group, where you want to control access to nodes.

There are two permission settings, Safe and Compliance. In Safe mode no other permission control modules are allowed to interfere with how Group permissions are set.

In Organic groups it can be viewed as the membership entity type. In the Group module every piece of content has the same relationship entity in between. For nodes it could be used for metadata about the relationship, for example an access control field indicating whether or not the content is public.
