The project page and the README both say that your final jQuery Simple Color JS file should be named jquery.simple-color.js. However, what's actually required by the module is jquery.simple-color.min.js. It's correct to require the minified file to be used, but this misleading documentation causes problems for people who want an uncluttered library folder with only the necessary file, instead of using drush and forgetting about it.
