if same product adds multiple times, its adding multiple line items instead of increasing the quantity of already existing product line item.

Problem is probably somewhere else. I dont have this problem. How did you add "Add to cart" button ? There is an option to combine similar products instead of creating new line items. This option should be present when using "Add to cart" form from views (handler) or under field display configuration.

This might be a problem in the earlier versions of the module. I was not able to reproduce the problem.
