Inside of the BAT module Directory for BAT Availability, there is a php file named rooms_availability.api.php. Should this be bat_availability.api.php ?

Yes, this should be renamed. It currently documents one hook, hook_bat_availability_update(), invoked in modules/bat_availability/src/UnitCalendar.php.

There's a github repo? Who knew :-)

Can you clarify how to contribute to this module please? There's no mention of the github repo on the project page, or the README. I did a pull from drupal.org today and there were ~40 new commits, which I guess means these repos were out of sync when I submitted patches.

Hi Andrew - I hear you and apologies for not mentioning this on the module page. For the dev period we will be keeping the two in sync from now on.
