At the moment it the introtext and name of the guestbook can't be made multilingual by default. But if you are running a multilingual site you need to have those in different languages. Is there any way to make those two multilingual?

sunI guess you're referring to the site guestbook, not user guestbooks. Anyway, if you're not using #translatable module as multilingual solution, that's not possible currently, because #translatable is the only module that technically allows to translate any user input on a Drupal site. For any other multilingual solution, guestbooks would have to be nodes (see corresponding issue in the queue). Thus, marking this postponed.

Drupalnode-1 commentedok here's my sollution:
intro-text:
open guestbook.module, go to line 573 and add t():
$intro = t(_guestbook_info($uid, 'intro'));page-title:
create a page-guestbook.tpl.php (based on your normal page.tpl.php) and replace
$titlewitht('Guestbook')that works for me...

sunYou are abusing Drupal's localization function. This certainly works for you, but won't make it into Guestbook module.

Cyclist72 commentedYes I am referring to the site guestbook. I am not sure if I understand you correctly. I thought the introtext and name of the guestbook are set by the admin and not by the user...
I am using the internationalization modul. With that it is possible to set the site name, mission etc. as multilingual variable and then it's possible transaltion the content via admin interace when switching languages. I hope somthing similar will be possible with the guestbook name and intro text in the near future.

sunThanks for taking the time to report this issue.
However, marking as duplicate of #72607: Use entities for guestbooks and guestbook entries.
