In Views 2, the 'Save' button doesn't actually go anywhere on its own. HOwever, if you 'edit' a view from the list, it appends a destination to the URL. You can take that destination off the URL prior to saving as one way to not get teleported back to the list.

I'm also not sure that destination is actually a good idea. I've found it jarring to get taken away from the view when I save, so I may just eliminate that.

This has already been fixed in -dev (and the problem is not what you think it is; this patch actually doesn't work).

The save & edit button should be less necessary as i removed the redirect from the edit page.
