Now on page /admin/config/group/permissions/node/NODETYPE it is possible to define access rights for each field type of material, but there is no way to determine access rights to fields of comments of this type of material. But it is very necessary in some cases.

ttronslien commentedDuplicate of https://www.drupal.org/node/2580269
Comment #3
ttronslien commentedReopened as the "duplicate" relates to OG Comment and not OG itself, as is the case for this Feature Request.
Patch/suggestion how to address this in OG is attached.
The patch just enables/disabled comment viewing and does not set permission on the individual fields.

shevgenyThis, unfortunately, does not solve the problem. We need the ability to manage permissions comments fields, as is done with nodes fields.

joelpittetDrupal 7 reached end-of-life and the D7 version of Organic Groups is no longer being developed. To keep the issue queue focused on supported versions, we’re closing older D7 issues. If you still have questions about using Organic Groups on Drupal 7, feel free to ask. While we won’t fix D7 bugs anymore, we’re happy to offer guidance to help you move forward. You can do so by opening (or reopening) a D7 issue, or by reaching out in the #og channel on Drupal Slack.
If this issue is still relevant for Drupal 10+, please open a follow-up issue or merge request with proposed changes. Contributions are always welcome! 💙
