The Panopoly Widgets module currently uses a specific commit for the media_youtube module:

projects[media_youtube][download][branch] = 7.x-2.x

Should we switch to the latest version of Media: YouTube 3.0?

Did you do any manual testing of this version?

Assuming the tests pass, we just need some manual testing of adding YouTube videos via the Video widget and in WYSIWYG, to verify that everything is working as it should, and then we can commit.
