I honestly suggest using the Subscriptions module - it's at least being (somewhat) actively maintained, unlike the Notifications/Messaging suite.

DamienMcKenna, thank you. I have got access recently from febbraro and trying to do something step by step. You did a really great job in issue queues! I would like to give access to lokapujya as well, but I do not have enough rights to do it.
