Need change to i18n_taxonomy

Right now the taxonomy terms shown for my nodes are always in the same language as the node itself, despite there being translated taxonomy terms. However, I want them to be independent of the node language and always show up in the language the user is most likely to understand (either currently selected language or default site language), so that it's possible to understand what the node is about even if the node itself is in a foreign language.
If you can provide a quick solution to this, I'm ready to pay you a small amount out of my own pocket via Paypal, and of course you're welcome to share this fix with the community, as it will be essential for many multilingual community sites.
