More specifically on default Filtered HTML input format.
I cannot modify the "HTML Filter" on "Allowable HTML tags" (try to add new tag and to remove tag).
Then save the changes. But it always get back to default values aka modification never occurs.
Also on "Display HTML help" tick. I cannot untick the checkbox.

pmetras commentedI've exactly the same problem. The work around I'm presently forced to use is to change the values directly in the database, in the table {variable}.
SELECT * FROM {variable} where name like '%filter%';Changes are not immediate, but after a few refreshes of the page, the new settings are used...

pramudya81 commentedCant do that pmetras.
'filter_html_1', 'i:1;'
That is the result of sql you gave. What to do with this value?
Finally I tried to modify the filter.module directly.
The negative is that it is hard coded but it works
e.g for modifying allowable tags I find all the default tags like
<a> <em> <strong> <cite> <code> <ul> <ol> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd>then replace this with tags I want.Comment #3
pmetras commentedFor the Display HTML Help switch, replace the 'filter_html_help_NN' value from 1 to 0;
For the tags, look at the rows returned by:
SELECT * FROM {variable} where name like 'allowed_html_%';Comment #4
chellman commentedI'm not seeing this problem with the current version of filter_default active, and the area that you're speaking of isn't modified by filter_default anyway. If you're still seeing this problem, ask for help in the support forums with specific details about your Drupal setup.
