Lack of documentation.

Views module already has an option in field handlers "Output this field as a link", where a user is able to "Use absolute path".

How does this module differ from that Views behavior?

You can create link using "Output this field as a link", but there are limited options. I needed to create a link with destination query in one of my project. It allows you to create complex link with fragment and query. These options are not availabe in default Views behavior.
