The error messages for the image field (for example when trying to upload an image that's to big) are displayed twice: once above the label and once underneath it.

@ifrik Thanks for your bug report! This issue was reported earlier at #2346893: Duplicate AJAX wrapper around a file field. Could you have a look at the patch and see if solves the issue?

I'll close this issue as a duplicate so we can focus our efforts in the other issue.

The issue is reproduced in the module file in somewhere is invoked 2 times file_save_upload function () on the file file.module

this problem has a solution in the link, the patch of comment 40 was tested and works successfully.

I can confirm I am experiencing this issue on Drupal 8.3.5.

The patch in #9 didn't apply for me due to the "docroot" path.

I can confirm that the patch from #5 fixes this issue on Drupal 8.3.7 as well.

and my production is using https://www.drupal.org/files/issues/duplicate_ajax_wrapper_2346893-217.p...
php 7.1 /postgres
