It would be extra practical if we could see which modules were part of the installed distribution (hence placed in the profiles/[distroname]/modules/contrib folder), and which are manually placed in the sites/all/modules folder (or wherever else, there are also other valid module paths). Each module should be listed with its path, if it does not add too much overhead to the performance.

I didn't see this issue before I posted mine, but I have the same feature request here, and I've posted a patch that adds this functionality as an optional configuration.
