Well, it seems that it worked from me after I disabled and deleted all facets, deleted and re-created the index and enabled the facets again. Of course I cleared the cache a couple of times in between. I hope it works for you guys as well.

We encountered same issue.
Here is a fix which force hook to be loaded before ctools try to load plugins.

In fact, this error can not be connected to the module facetapi

In my case the bug flew out of the fact that before I used ajax_facets module and to configure facet "Behavior empty facet" exhibited the value offered from this module.

According uselessness module is disabled or even removed (correctly, of course), but it did not change the setting "Behavior empty facet."

They happily changed my own and I could not imagine anything bad.

Then already, bringing in the wrong line in the $ id var_dum mine saw "ajax_facets" and understood.

Including the module, do one of the facets in the settings of the setup was ajax_facets, changed, turned off the unit removed - it worked. Maybe someone and come in handy! Sorry for bad english!

Can confirm that I had this problem because of 'empty_behavior' => 'ajax_facets', value in $settings variable (for one of facets on page), as described lukasss.
Fixed this by resaving facet with new settings.

Is this problem actual? How can I reproduce it?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install facetapi and ajax_facets modules.
2. Got to one of facets settings, set Display widget to one provided by Ajax Facets module.
3. Set empty behaviour to Ajax Facets Wrapper (as module recommends)
4. Disable Ajax Facets module
5. Uninstall it.
6. Filter results with other facets to make this facet to be hidden.

If you are in the situation of tarasich #15, the solution that worked for me is:

1. To go in each facets settings (Home » Administration » Configuration » Search and metadata » Search API, Then click on "Edit" of your problematic index, then clic on the "FACETS" tab then on each "configure display" enabled).
2. Select "Display text" in the "Empty facet behavior" select.

Enter a text in the "Empty text" wysiwyg textarea.

3. Clic on "Save configuration" button.
4. When done for each display settings, open them one by one again and select "Do not display facet" in the "Empty facet behavior" select.
5. Clic on "Save configuration" button.

I think that the right way is update settings of the facets when the module ajax facets will be disabled.
But this problem can happens with any other module. I think that better to prevent it in module facets.

I have the same problem. Uninstalled the module ajax facets BUT forgot to change the value, the behavior in the absence of results!
