As discovered in #2356993: PostgreSQL: Fix tests in rest test group current web images do not seem to support all required mime types. The failing tests are about application/json so we need to figure out what mime package needs to be included.

bzrudi71 commentedThe actual problem is an apache response of 406 :-(
Pass Browser StyleSerializerTe 117 Drupal\rest\Tests\Views\StyleSerial
GET http://localhost/test/serialize/entity returned 406 (372 bytes).
Fail Browser StyleSerializerTe 118 Drupal\rest\Tests\Views\StyleSerial
HTTP response expected 200, actual 406
Fail Other StyleSerializerTe 119 Drupal\rest\Tests\Views\StyleSerial
The expected JSON output was found.
Pass Browser StyleSerializerTe 122 Drupal\rest\Tests\Views\StyleSerial
GET http://localhost/test/serialize/entity returned 406 (372 bytes).
Fail Other StyleSerializerTe 123 Drupal\rest\Tests\Views\StyleSerial
The expected HAL output was found.
Still think we missed something, maybe /etc/mime.types? I'm currently totally busy fixing remaining PostreSQL and not sure when I have the time to dig deeper here. Ideas for an easy fix? :-)

jthorson commentedA bit of research suggests that this could be a problem with older debian/ubuntu operating systems, with the fix being to edit /etc/mime.types and add an application/json entry.
We have plans to update our container stack to at least ubuntu 12.04, which the same research suggested has this edit already. So as a 'quick fix', I think we just need to finish that work. :)

bzrudi71 commentedThanks Jeremy for your research! That leaves the question open, is there someone already working to change the container stack to use Ubuntu? Maybe I can have a look at this from time to time, but can't promise to have that done within a couple of days ;-)

mradcliffe@dasrecht has been working on this, but I haven't seen any public updates about it in the initiative meeting notes on groups.drupal.org - https://groups.drupal.org/drupal-org-testing-infrastructure

yesct commentedseeing this in core issue #2388255: (followup) Limit PDO MySQL to executing single statements if PHP supports it
