The security 'updates available' message that displays on Drupal sites offers a good opportunity to explain basic details about available updates. E.g. this text area can display information such as severity level, urgency, etc, in addition to the fact that security updates are available.

Updating this area to be able to include additional details and context, can increase the effectiveness of outreach with regards to Drupal core and contrib security.

This seems like a really worthwhile feature request. There are many related issues around security release information on the update status report, and I'm wondering whether we should rethink how we display security advisories.

Currently we have #2865920: Add tests for when a single supported branch has 2 security updates that are both not insecure which just links "download" and "telease notes" for each.

#2990476: If the site is on an insecure version of an old minor and there is a secure version of that old minor available, the update status report should link that release is an issue where we're discussing some redesign to help users understand their update choices (especially as it relates to security releases).
