I have a client that needs to use their proprietary front-end bundle (with a custom jQuery setup). I've opted to modify this module to allow for the admin to specify a custom URL instead of the other versions and CDN. I think this will provide more flexibility and give people an easier route to prevent jquery conflicts from situations like mine.

I've patched this module to include the aforementioned custom external CDN option.

I encountered the same issue. Another patch is attached because I had a slightly different approach in order to solve this.
Could someone please review and RTBC ?
