I installed this module yesterday, and so far it seems to be working - I only have it enabled on one page of my site but on that particular page it loads and runs fine.
However, sometimes when I'm in the administration pages I get this:
* warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: Unable to access countdowntimer/timerjs in /nfsn/content/xxxxxx/public/includes/locale.inc on line 1622.
* warning: file_get_contents(countdowntimer/timerjs) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Unknown error: 0 in /nfsn/content/xxxxxx/public/includes/locale.inc on line 1622.
I checked the file indicated, and set the permissions at 755, thinking that may be what it means when it says "cannot access".. but that hasn't changed anything.
Again, everything seems to be working well, and I have been installing other modules recently so I guess it could be them, but since this said "countdowntimer" I figured this is probably the culprit.

jvandervort commentedThat one is new to me. You could check to see if you have javascript optimization set in the admin performance area.

samtaylor commentedI remember enabling it when I was trying to fix this, so I just disabled it; the next page I clicked on, the errors came up again. It seems to me that the errors came up less when I had optimization enabled, oddly enough.
This isn't a huge concern for me as this module is rather superfluous and if the problem keeps up I'll just uninstall it.

jvandervort commentedShould be fixed in the 6.x.2.5 release.

penteri commentedThe problem still exists:
warning: file_get_contents(?q=countdowntimer/timerjs&n=) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/username/public_html/includes/locale.inc on line 1643.
I use this module with the Automated Logout 6.x-2.0.

jvandervort commentedGive 6.x-2.x-dev a try. It uses an entirely different js loading technique. If it fixes the problem, I'll speedup the release schedule a bit.

schildi commentedGot the same message:
file_get_contents(countdowntimer/timerjs): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
I checked the complete installation and can confirm that there is no file name "timerjs"
After upgrading to autologout-6.x-2.1 the effect remains.
Did I forget to install some software?
jvandervort commentedIf you view source on your page, do you see something like this:
schildi commentedI got the message when I was logged in as admin.
Now, when looking at the source of a page I see the line
This is the only line containing the pattern "timer".
Please take into account that there is no dot in the filename "timerjs"

jvandervort commentedGive 6.x-2.19 a try.
schildi commentedwhere can I get this version?
On the project page I only see versions 6.x-2.1 and 6.x-1.x-dev
Did you include the timer.js file in the version 6.x-2.19 ?
jvandervort commentedIt's available on the project page (at least today it is there.) Sometimes it takes a while to show up.
schildi commentedand where to get this timerjs or timer.js file?
jvandervort commentedIt it created from the module when you hit save on the admin screen.
It will be put in the files directory used by you main drupal install.

jvandervort commentedHopefully all is well with multi-language at this point.
