In addition to adding the fieldgroup privacy options to a node edit form (for the headings of an entire CCK fieldset), it would be very useful if the entire node could be set to private. Thank you for considering this feature request.

Does the 'Node Access' features of http://drupal.org/project/friendlist do the same thing for the 6.x version? Since CCK Field Privacy integrates with FriendList, I wouldn't want to bother duplicating functionality if it does the same thing.

Without response, I'm going to mark this as 'won't fix', at least for now. Both FriendList and User Relationships are implementing Node Access modules, so I think I'll leave whole-node access to them. If someone wants to port the functionality to here & provide a patch, I'll include it, but I don't see a need to duplicate efforts right now.
