Totally agreed. Porting this module to D8 is a very important task. I'm no longer working with Drupal much and haven't had much time to maintain this module. Hoping someone comes across this and is willing to step up and port this bad boy over. @andypost, if you know anyone who might be willing to help out, please direct them this way.
