Like all Drupal projects, OpenAid is open source and welcomes contributions from the greater community.

To get started, grab a copy of the site by visiting the Version Control section of the OpenAid project page.
https://drupal.org/project/openaid/git-instructions

Follow the instructions on creating a repository.

Once you've cloned the repo the folder you will see the following files and folders:

Run drush make on the file build-openaid.make and specify the directory you would like to place the files in. You can name the directory anything helpful, such as openaid_distro (don't name it openaid if the name of your repo is also openaid, which it is by default).
drush make build-openaid.make openaid_distro

Move the openaid_distro folder you just made to become the root directory. The remaining files that were originally in the repo "openaid.install, openaid.profile, etc.) will now be within the openaid folder as intended.
Rename the root directory openaid
Begin the typical install process
