Taxonomy term no longer has values in Commerce Kickstart 2.12 views (w. Entity API 1.3)

This issue is related to this one.

After upgrading to CK 2.12 and Entity API 1.3, views that reference Taxonomy Term: Name no longer yield values for these fields.

Result: e-shops that are based on CK and use similar views for product listings are now incapable of dividing products in product categories. This is true also for the CK online demo store.

All products are shown in a flat grouping, instead of being grouped by product type (which is a taxonomy vocabulary). This is confusing for customers visiting the product pages.
