If I try to search for "someword", I only find it if I exactly write it!
If I search for "some" or "word" I get no result.

Try the same thing with Live Search off and disabled. That should prove that this is the problem of core Search module, not Live Search. Live Search doesn't perform the search by itself; it calls for core Search to do it.
