The current commit hash of the version of OG included with Commons is the same as the the one which was tagged as 7.x-2.5 but I agree that it's nice to use the stable release.

Committed #1 to Commons 7.x-3.x.

Updating the title here to be more accurate. OG 7.x-2.5 is not a security update release nor did this version have a security advisory. We make new releases of Commons shortly after affected core/contrib security advisories are released.
