Is there a reason why you shouldn't be able to unarchive an archived contact? Would you accept a patch where this feature is added?

In short, happy to consider a patch. Can also be done with VBO.

yep, that would be useful. I took the patch and
- added unarchiving access to users with manage permission
- added unarchiving organization support

Not sure about the right wording, maybe reactivating would fit better?
