I am not sure what creates the .preview image.
If I upload an image, lets say 1.jpg, it creates
1.jpg and 1.thumbnail.jpg
and sometimes it creates 1.jpg, 1.preview.jpg and 1.thumbnail.jpg
And if .preview images was not created, lightbox2 does not work, just a white flash screen is displayed with the rotating "waiting" icon.
So the questions are: WHAT creates this .preview image? How can it be FORCED to be created?

softtouch commentedUpdate. Image module of course create (or not) the preview image, depends on its size.
But lightbox should be so clever to use the original automatically if the preview image is not found...

softtouch commented#217069 refer back to this post. So what? Instead of refering back and forth, a simple tip or solution would be appreciated.
Where in lightbox does it load the preview image? There should be a small patch which load the original image in case the preview image is not found.
