I found that this module was sufficient to do what I wanted with links, rather than using nodes. However I did have an existing page of links and did not want to do it all one by one. So I have made some small changes to the module to add an import option as an extra tab on the links page.
I have also added, using the help text. some text you can configure at the top of the links page.
I've included a patch file for anyone interested. This is the first time I have done a patch file so if I have not done it correctly please let me know and I will create it again.

bertran2 commentedI like linksdb mod but can't find a way to place a text as title over links. I tried to use your patch but ca'nt find where is the text to configure at the top of links.
Or any other clues how to do it?

nancydruWhy do people think they can get away from nodes. Even this module creates nodes.
Once I have my conversion feature ready for the Web Links module, I will move this request over to that queue as a possible update.

nancydruThis patch does not follow coding standards, but then neither did the module until I took it over.
