Drupal 8 version

There are no plans to do this at the moment, so your help is welcomed and appreciated.

Note that the beautytips jquery plugin itself has not been updated since 2009, and reports are that it does not currently wok with jquery 1.6 or later. Ticket #2059437: $(...).attr(...) is not defined has a fix for this but there may be more issues. There doesn't seem to be a place to submit issues with the plugin anymore.

Here is patch that ports Beautytips API and Beautytips manager modules. It makes possible to use all the functionality that provide this modules.

We are keen on further development of beautytips module. So, we would like to be part of the story in future.
Is there any chance of me and RomiOS-ID (@InternetDevels team) joining the project as the maintainers?

The patch looks good to me, though I've done very little in exploring Drupal 8. I added both you and RomiOS-ID as maintainers on the project so you can begin working on the Drupal 8 version and answering issue queue questions, if you feel so inclined.

Seems that this patch needs to be fixed according to changes in Drupal 8 core.
