Initial commit of empty module file in preparation for the start of development.

Has work started on this module?

If work has started, does it target the rewrite of the subscriptions module, currently at 5.x-2.0-beta9?

Hopefully, the answers to to both of these questions are "yes" :)

We are looking into similar functionality, and would prefer not to duplicate effort. Any info you can give us on the status and your approach would be very much appreciated.

Dear Bill, thanks for your interest. The answer to both of your questions is a "yes", although the work has only just started and there is no code yet. You can view the progress on the demo site at http://develcuy.elblog.de/subscriptions_og and, most importantly, at http://drupal.org/node/212248. Please contribute to the discussions there. We will start using this issue queue once the code is here.
