In views I use a field to determine which marker to use. However it seems to apply an opacity to my markers that I cannot control when viewed on a map. Does anyone have any idea on how to change this?

Opacity can be configured in the Styles plugins now. UI to change this was not available when this was posted originally. Now it is! :-)

Admin > Structure > Openlayers > Styles
