I am also facing same problem. I have Drupal 5.1 and MySQL 4.1

One more thing. Can I customise chat for one to one chat? As it is in Gmail where we can see list of active users on left and can chat with them just on click. Right now I can't see active users. It may be because the module is not working correctly on my website.

My special request to Darren Oh, to provide assitance.

Warmly

Pushkar

Folks,
I also have this issue whereby chat submissions do not show up, I've reviewed readme and install txts, searched the forums. To that I changed my $cookie_domain value in settings.php as indicated in earlier posts but nothing has changed this behavior yet. I have a test site with normal-authority users and full-authority admins(all permissions, all access), and neither group (role) can post chats that show up in the chat window. Creating Chatrooms and Chats works just fine for both groups, but posting lines into a chat doesn't appear to do anything except on submit erase the chat entry line.

Thanks,

Some possibly helpful Info below.

Drupal 5.7
GD library bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
JQuery Update Installed correctly
The current installed version of JQuery is 1.0.4
MySQL database 5.0.45
PHP 4.3.11
PHP register globals Disabled
Unicode library Standard PHP
Web server Apache
Chatroom - 5.x-1.9

Folks,
Thought I'd take a peek inside the db and sure enough there are no msgs in the chatroom specific tables, thought it might be helpful to know,
Thanks,

I have the same problem with my live site
mysql: 5.x
php: 4.x
apache 1.3.x

However it works on my local testing site. the main differences are:
php 5.x
apache 2.x

So I wonder if it has anything to do with php version?

I am also having a similar problem on my live site, though once a user hits "send" then the previous message from the other user appears. I have a replica of the site on a different server and I am not experiencing the problem--Chat is working fine. I contacted my host (MediaTemple) and they suggested I contact the developer and ask if there are any particular PHP settings that are required by this module to work properly. Is there anyway I get any details about required PHP settings?

Thanks!

any of you found a sollution yet??
after i got rid of the kicked immediatly i now get no data in my database at all.. i changed the cookie_domain in the settings, but as far as i see now, it still doesn't send anything to the database.

firebug gives no entry in the userlist at chatroomread.php
{ "chatUsers": [ ] }
maybe that could cause some troubles too

kind regards
pieter
