I would love to be able to combine the search results for nodes and users for site visitors and this does the trick but warns that I should only give access to trusted roles only. What is the issue? It would be great if I could use this module for Anonymous users.

I can't spot any security issue, either. The module only invokes the execute hooks as the search module does, in fact.
