Please consider updating CiviCRM User Reference to use Entity Reference - https://drupal.org/project/entityreference- since it does everything References does and more.
Thanks

kreynen CreditAttribution: kreynen commentedThis module was created specifically so MNN could opt not to use it. before this module, the functionality was baked into Reservations. now that we've followed OG's move to entity reference and dropped node reference from the distributions, we need to update this module to use entity reference too

soniat CreditAttribution: soniat commentedTried installing 7.x-1.x-dev using the update manager and received the following messages: CiviCRM User Reference Field is already installed. Tried again got this message the second time:
"Archivers can only operate on local files: temporary://update-cache-6c7cb4df/civicrm_user_reference-7.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz not supported".
Should I try sftp?

kreynen CreditAttribution: kreynen commentedYes. You will have to manually download it and upload it to sites/all/modules to apply the override. I've added an issue for #2300357: Add patch to core to allow web UI downloads of modules already in profile. If the MoU orgs approve the change, I'll write a patch to make it easier for people using the web UI to install modules to override a module that already exists in profiles/[PROFILE NAME]/modules directory.
Can you add something about not being able to use admin/modules/install to override a module to https://www.drupal.org/node/1974964
Thanks and looking forward to your feedback.
