I saw this message today when on the Modules screen trying to enable a module on a complicated site, where another module needed to be disabled because it was missing a dependency:
Some required modules must be enabled
The [foo] is missing, so the following modules will be disabled: [bar], [baz].
Would you like to continue with the above?
Note: The page header says "some required modules must be enabled", but the detailed message says actually that some modules will be disabled because they are missing dependencies. Oops.
I haven't tried this in 8.x so I do not know how it will fare.
