RFQ: Upgrade of Drupal site from 4.6.x to 5.5

AFANA, a non-profit organization which promotes Australian rules football in North America, needs a consultant/developer with experience upgrading Drupal sites, to perform an upgrade of it's Drupal /MySQL based web site, afana.com, from the obsolete version (4.6.x) to the current version (5.5) and prepare for the upgrade to the upcoming 6.0. The upgrade would include the modules currently in use to the current versions of same or replacement with equivalent, new modules. At this time, the task involves the upgrade only and other services will be determined at a later date. With only minor exceptions, which we can detail upon enquiry, most of our modules are unmodified and won't require porting any customizations. The site's primary function is as a web portal/news site for the sport.

Quotes and qualifications will be reviewed promptly and we will reply to all enquiries. We hope to make a decision on hiring someone no later than 18 January 2008 and have a target completion date of 29 February 2008. However, these dates are flexible based on negotiations with the chosen consultant. As a non-profit and primarily volunteer organization, the budget for this is limited.
