Seems like a sensible default to have some more configuration for solr intergration, including having it configured for node access out of box (e.g. including the node access information field).

This would be quite helpful. I tried to do this originally and there was some features/search api integration. Worth a look to get it rolling.

The solr configuration does seem to have node access on by default:

"Node access information" needs to also be checked under admin/config/search/search_api/index/node_index/fields tmk (confusing search api options)

Ah yes, of course. Blah.

Here is a patch that will do what we want. Needs testing on a Solr setup.

This issue still makes sense! I think changes are necessary to the server export too, though. At least they are necessary in the database server export, which current has:

          "search_api_access_node" : {
            "table" : "search_api_db_database_node_index_search_api_access_node",
            "column" : "value",
            "type" : "list\\u003Cstring\\u003E",
            "boost" : "1.0"
          },

But I haven't actually tested it.

I re-rolled the Feature update from #5, and added an update hook to ensure the Feature would not be overridden.

Re #7: Only the database server export contains info about its fields in panopoly_search_default_search_api_server(); the Solr configuration does not.
