make the base grid larger and have it work?

I have edited the css and what I want is to make the theme fluid instead of fixed width specifically for my profile pages to load proper which can be seen at http://cast.wickedradio.org/users/deshi as an example. Seems anything I try the theme is not going to any larger width weather it be fluid or if i put in a larger fixed width.
