Now that Magic is released, maybe it would spur usage if the settings page puts up a warning message when magic hasn't been enabled. It could go at the bottom where the magic settings will be..

It's the first module in the Recommended Modules section, and if you don't have it installed it'll nag you about that in the Recommended Modules section. Even has a required star. We're just waiting on finishing our Docs before releasing 3.x
