Is it possible to update the windows installer on drush.ws to Drush 5.9?
I update to Drush 6.x, if drush 6.x runs with D7.

As an addition, would it make sense to restructure the drush files layout so that it could be updated via drush dl drush --destination="C:\Program Files (x86)\Drush"?

please open a new issue, because I think, this has to be done before building the new windows installer.

We no longer support updating drush with drush. use pear or git for that.

I'll ping Dmitry again about rolling this installer.
