At /events there's a filter that says 'Sort by: Featured' with no other options.

Why does that filter exist?

Updating title to be more explicit. I also updated the issue summary to focus on the bug.

@Dani_what, it's great that you're testing out Commons and providing feedback. We all have different motivations for our involvement, and, in my experience, it's more productive to just contribute for whatever reason you contribute and not criticize others for their motivation.

@jpontani - thanks for the fix. It's not immediately obvious to me how that commit fixes this problem. Maybe you could post a screenshot or describe what the listing will look like now?

It added a second exposed filter for sorting by the event date.
