I have rules version 7.x-2.0 installed tried to upgrade to the latest version 7.x-2.2 and I get the blank screen and the site dies. so I restored the db and uninstalled the rules module and then tried to directly install the rules 7.x-2.2 module and again the site falls over. Has anyone else experienced this or is there something else I need to do to completely remove all traces of the rules 7.x-2.0 module data so I can get a clean install of rules 7.x-2.2?

I have installed version 7.x-2.2 on other sites with no problems, but any site that has 7.x-2.0 the site falls over.

I've read the thread about upgrading from 7.x-2.0 to 7.x-2.1 and I can't even get to update.php to see if there is any problems or the log files that I beleive was on 7 of that thread.

I re-tested and removed all modules required by earlier version of rules and I still get
Error
The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.

I just don't understand guess I'll sitck with the older version and deal with tokens in the emails when the value is empty.:(
