Hi

I have set up the proximity filter based on the location module and the ip address. But I would also like it, if the user could search form a different location than their ip address and filter by radius from that imput address.

Eg aswell as having a distance filter I would also like a city filter that would over ride the initial ip address that the browser find.

I have looked at setting up a separate view using the geocode module but that does not seem to filter the location modules content. I have also looked at global filter block, and took a look at filtering by city. But this does not seem intuitive for the users of the site who will be entering the address data as it seems to add an extra imput field.

Does anyone have any other solutions to this.

So yeah, the location module works ok with geofield and the proximity module gives me what I want. But it seems when ip geolocation views and maps is installed the proximity module itself seems to break so I cannot set up a views with a location and distance filter.

The current approximate address block which is built into ip geolocation is exactly what i am looking for. Took a bit of searching but thanks for this great module.

All good then! Glad you like the module, Jimmel.

Curious about what you wrote in #1 though... ....the location module works ok with geofield and the proximity module gives me what I want...
What are the exact names or the URLs of the modules you refer to. Which "proximity" module are you talking about...?

I set up the http://drupal.org/project/ol_locator to quickly test the openlayers proximity module listed there. I knew this would work when putting in the location and distance to filter the nodes and it did. But when I installed the ip geolocation mudule to see if i could get two different views using the same location data (a roundabout solution to what i needed) it seems to break the openlayers proximity filter.

I am presuming this is what you are curious about. If you need more information let me know.
