Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Please add to the documentation something about managing updates when Drupal sends out its "updates available" emails. I've found that updating individual modules can cause problems. So, I'm not sure whether I should live with the emails and just periodically refresh the entire distribution or update modules as updates come out and then deal with potential fall-out.

jgraham CreditAttribution: jgraham commentedDue to how Drupal distributions work and no way to know what customizations your site may have there is no one definitive answer to "How do I upgrade" other than the normal maintaining Drupal information.
That being said, the general update drupal core process applies as well as https://drupal.org/node/1494290 additionally you will need additional testing especially around Organic Groups. Drupal distributions only get you started you still need expertise around maintaining a Drupal site. Additionally there have been issues with certain combinations of modules within Julio as sterndata flagged this is generally the case for any Drupal site.
