hi, is it possible to modify default behaviour in this way? Id like to start cropping after upload, show default crop, but it should be maximised already, so if user does not do anything, there is a higher probability of cropping "interesting" part of image.... thx

Hi,

I'll add an option to use a maximised selection instead of the default calculated and centred selection.

To be continued... soon ;-)

A maximize option has been added, hope you like it :-)

great, thanks so much :) unfortunately, i cant find it. is it supposed to be in current dev version?

Dev versions are only build twice a day, so you could wait for a new dev version (as you can see the current one is from 2012-Dec-20 ) or clone the git repository.

This is excellent... Except sometimes (not always), the maximised selection causes black bars to appear.
If I manually click on the maximise button, the black bars go away.
How can I get the black bars to go by default.

My apologies for the amazingly delayed response...

This is probably because the images weren't fully loaded during the dimension calculations. Please check if this still appears in the latest version and re-open this issue if so.
