It is possible with rules to change the view mode as content is viewed?

I explain

with the reaction I have the view-mode available as data but I imagine is only for reading because i've tried to change the view mode and the view mode that renders the node doesn't change.
¿Am I correct?

Since view-mode has no effect should'n be available for "setting a new value"

I am closing this as outdated because the question is very old and Rules has changed considerably in the meantime. If you still have this problem with the current version of Rules feel free to open a new issue.
