It would be nice to see a sample subtheme, just to steal some good ideas… ;)
Hmm.... we can try and work on that. Although really-- that is 1/2 the point of the compass extension. To create the sub-theme file structure, then allow y'all to use the base pieces on your own.
The theme is really built just to give you all the tools you need to make an awesome theme with Sass--- not to provide anything you don't need though.
It is out of scope of the project (and IMO base themes in general) to provide sample fully realized subthemes; at that point, it is simply a theme. As ChinggizKhan said, there are three different subtheme flavors you can install for partial structure ideas, but that's about as far as I think we're going to support a "sample subtheme".

(I have'nt seen this documentation page(s) 'till this. By the way it makes Firefox on OSX struggle and nor Chrome performs much better…)
