hello,

when installing commerce_kickstart rc2, during product editing, there are the product variations.
when installing commerce_kickstart rc4, there aren't, please see the screenshots.

i also tried 11-17-2012's dev version but it seems like the same thing after installation.

is there any dependency wrong with this, so that i can perform a correct installation and product editing
please ?

Edit your product display content type, find your product reference field (field_product), edit it, change the cardinality (number of allowed values) to "Unlimited".
It somehow got reverted to "1", which is why you're getting a different look.

indeed "1" was the default value during those installations of rc4 and -dev.
