I'm splitting hairs, but 'Clone this content' isn't always correct.
It may confuse editors.

A lot of my pages contain views. If you clone it, you do not clone
the content, contentwise, but just the page containing the content.

I've configured it to use the 'Clone this [content type]', which is
semantically correct and less confusing, but sometimes that line
get very long for a simple action link (or tab).

I would prefer the word 'Clone'. Thats all. Feature request ;-)

thanks!

While this is not a feature of Node clone, yet, you could use String overrides module to change the link/tab text.

BTW: I am using admin theme to edit nodes and with Seven theme the tab only reads "CLONE" even though I have the configuration set to "Clone this [type]".

At this point, I think it's stable. You can menu_alter or whatever you need for your site.
